It's Just Jess began with a gift. On a trip to Wimberley, Texas, Jess was looking for a birthday present for her cousin-in-law when something in a local shop sparked an idea: what if a beautiful scarf could become a necklace? Back home in Houston, she started tying colorful prints by hand and finishing each one with a heart pendant. She started gifting them to her close friends, who then had their other close friends ask about them to buy...and then It's Just Jess was born.
That friend-to-friend spirit is still at the center of everything. Every necklace is named after a real friend or customer, from The Audrey to The Whitney, and comes with a short, affectionate story about the woman behind the name. Each one begins with a newly sourced scarf chosen for its color, print and personality, then is knotted by hand and finished with our signature heart pendant in gold, silver, and more.
